About Saudi Arabian Airlines:
Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) is the flag carrier airline of Saudi Arabia, based in Jeddah. The airline is the third largest in the Middle East in terms of revenue, behind Emirates and Qatar Airways. It operates domestic and international scheduled flights to over 120 destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. Domestic and international charter flights are operated, mostly during the Ramadan and the Hajj season. Saudia is a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization. The airline joined the SkyTeam airline alliance on 29 May 2012.

Saudi Arabian Airlines allows each passenger to carry a certain amount of hand luggage according to the class of travel, and are under the custody and responsibility of the passenger. All Hand luggage may be placed in the upper shelves within the aircraft.
First and Business Classes
- A bag or hand-bag allowance (the size of the piece not to exceed 115 cm)
- A documents briefcase (the size of the piece not to exceed 100 cm)
- The total weight of both luggages not to exceed 9 kg.Guest Class
- Hand bag (the size of the piece not to exceed 115 cm)
- The total weight of the luggage not to exceed 7 kg.
It is also admissible to carry some personal belongings that are not calculated in the hand luggage weight limit (coat or cover / sunglass or sticks for walking / amplifier dual lens / small camera / women hand bag or purse for normal use only / book to read during the flight / food for children to be used during the flight / child cradle)
New rules were imposed for special hand luggage on all passengers traveling to and/or from airports within the United States, Canada and the EU countries, and on board transit flights crossing these airports. These rules include the following:
- Allow to carry only one piece of hand luggage.
- Allow to carry within the hand luggage some materials such as (food and milk for children / medicines / computer (laptop) / mobile phone and some necessary electrical materials / money and passenger’s passports and travel documents.
- It is a must to use a transparent plastic bag to put food and milk for children / medicines (the total volume of all packages placed in the plastic bag is not to exceed one liter), to be examined by the security services.
- The traveler may have to provide proof for the fact of these drugs.
Note: The security authorities will confiscate the items that exceed the limits specified above, or when they are not placed in plastic bags.

For passengers traveling to or from the United States of America 2 checked bags total dimensions not exceeding (158) cm per piece. maximum weight of 32 kg/70 lbs per piece In the case where the passenger needs to carry luggage weighing more than 32 kg, and can not be separated into pieces (such as musical instruments / sports tools / medical equipment … etc.), the passenger must notify Saudi Arabian Airlines in advance to take the necessary arrangements for the luggage to be transferred.
Note: checked baggage on Saudia flights departing to USA stations (New York (JFK), Washington D.C. (IAD), Los Angeles (LAX)) and Canada (Toronto (YYZ)) from (Riyadh (RUH)) must be sealed using safe wrap prior to acceptance on the flight.
Wheelchairs:
- Passengers who use wheelchairs or crutches may carry them on the flight.
- Wheelchairs and crutches must be placed in the aircraft storage room and are to be delivered before boarding the plane.
Organ dialysis devices:
- It is admissible for the passengers who rely on portable devices for dialysis to carry only one equipment free of charge on the flight.
- The device is to be placed in the aircraft storage room.
Rationalized dogs
- Rationalized dogs may accompany blind and deaf passengers. They may be transported in the aircraft storage room provided they are in their proper cage.
- Dogs are not allowed on the plane.
Infant carts
Infant carts are allowed to be carried as luggage, and are placed in the storage room of the aircraft.
