Baggage allowance on codeshare and interline journeys If your journey includes travel on an airline other than Qatar Airways, including a Qatar Airways codeshare flight operated by another airline including Cathay Pacific, that operating airline may offer you a lower baggage allowance. Baggage allowances on codeshare routes are determined by IATA’s Most Significant Marketing Carrier (MSC) rule. In the case of codeshare or interline flights that form part of an itinerary where the ultimate ticketed origin or destination is a point in the USA and Canada, the baggage allowances and charges applicable at the beginning of the itinerary will be applied throughout the journey. The new interline baggage rules for Canada take effect for all tickets issued on/after 01 April 2015. If you are booking a journey that includes a codeshare flight with another carrier, please contact us to confirm your baggage allowance
