Baggage limits on European routes:

On our European routes, you can adjust the baggage limits to your requirements. In Economy Class, you can choose between our unbeatably low-priced hand baggage rate, Classic and Flex, which include one item of baggage and lots of other extras.

An item of baggage must not exceed 158 cm in size (width + height + depth).Classic & Flex 1x max 23kg/Business 2x max 32kg

Any items of baggage that are bigger or heavier will be transported as excess baggage. If the number of items of free baggage is exceeded, there will be a charge for every additional item of baggage. SWISS does not accept any items of baggage weighing more than 32 kg.

Baggage limits on intercontinental flights:

On intercontinental flights, the tickets for all classes include at least 1 item of baggage. The information in the table applies per person on all SWISS flights.An item of baggage must not exceed 158 cm in size (width + height + depth).1 x max.23 kg Total weight max. 23 kg  SWISS Business 2 x max.32 kg Total weight max. 64 kg SWISS First 3 x max.32 kg Total weight max. 96 kg

Transporting sports equipment:

Swiss will be happy to transport your sports equipment subject to no extra charge, provided that you do not exceed your baggage allowance. You will only be charged extra fees if you want to transport more items of luggage than those included in your allowance or if your luggage is heavier than the standard allowance.

Special rates for sports equipment:

The tariffs for sports equipment apply for flights operated by SWISS. Connecting flights within 24 hours are considered as a single route. Return flights need to be paid for separately in the local currency at the departure airport.

The amounts in the table are for reference purposes: in CHF for Switzerland, in Euros for all European countries without Switzerland, in USD for all countries outside Europe, in CAD for Canada.
