Each Alitalia passenger is allowed to carry on one bag and one personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Assistive devices and outer garments do not count as personal items. All Alitalia carry-on luggage must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you and adhere to the following requirements:
- Maximum Dimensions of Carry-on Luggage: 18in x 14in x 10in/45cm x 35cm x 25cm (length x width x height)
- Maximum Weight of Carry-on Luggage: 11 lb/5 kg

Passengers traveling to/from the U.S., Canada or Mexico, must adhere to the below requirements:
- Baggage Allowance: 2 pieces
- Maximum Dimensions: 62 linear inches/157 cm (length + width + height)
- Maximum Weight for Magnifica Class: 70 lb/32 kg per bag
- Maximum Weight for Economy Class: 50 lb/23 kg per bag
Passengers traveling to/from Brazil, must adhere to the below requirements:
- Baggage Allowance: 2 pieces
- Maximum Dimensions: 62 linear inches/157 cm (length + width + height)
- Maximum Weight: 70 lb/32 kg per bag
Passengers traveling to/from all other international destinations, must adhere to the below requirements:
- Maximum Weight for First/Magnifica Class: 66 lb/30 kg
- Maximum Weight for Economy Class: 44 lb/20 kg
