Each Air Berlin passenger is allowed to carry on one bag. Assistive devices and outer garments do not count as personal items. All carry-on luggage must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you. You must be able to lift your carry-on into the overhead storage without assistance. All carry-on bags must adhere to the following requirements:
- Maximum Dimensions of Carry-on Luggage: 22in x 16in x 8in/ 55cm x 40cm x 20cm (length x width x height)
- Maximum Weight of Carry-on Luggage: 17lbs/ 8kg
REMINDER: Bulkhead seats do not have underseat storage during take-off and landing.

Air Berlin Economy Class passengers can check-in one piece of checked luggage up to 50lbs/ 23kg per person (free baggage allowances also apply to children and infants).
Air Berlin Business Class passengers are allowed two checked bags, weighing up to 70lbs/ 32kg each.
For children under 2 years of age (infants) the baggage allowance is one bag weighing up to 50lbs/ 23kg, regardless of the service class. Children aged between 2 and 11 years have the same baggage allowances as adults. A buggy/push chair, child’s car seat and travel carry cot can be checked-in free of charge.
In addition to the free baggage allowance stipulated on the booking confirmation, all Air Berlin passengers are allowed one additional sports item up to 66lbs/ 30kg, subject to the conditions set out by airberlin. For detailed information please refer to airberlin’s Sports Equipment Policy.
