Cabin Baggage (Hand Baggage) is defined as any baggage of 8 kg and 55x40x23 cm, Each passenger is responsible for his/her own cabin baggage, which is carried at passenger cabin for free of charge.
Personal Items are defined as any items, which are carried at passenger cabin for free of charge. Each passenger is responsible for his/her own personal item.
- Business Class: 2 pieces with maximum weight of 8 kg (17.6 lb) each and maximum dimensions of 23 x 40 x 55 cm (9 x 15.5 x 21.5 in).
- Economy and Comfort Class: 1 piece with maximum weight of 8 kg (17.6 lb and maximum dimensions of 23 x 40 x 55 cm (9 x 15.5 x 21.5 in).
- All carry-on baggage must fit in the overhead bin or below the passenger’s seat. If it is over size, it must be checked at the gate.
- Additional personal items permitted include:
- 1 coat, overcoat or blanket
- 1 laptop computer
- 1 handbag/briefcase
- 1 small video recorder or camera
- 1 baby carriage
- Baby bottle etc. for feeding needs

Flights departing from Brazil/Argentina have allowances of 32 kg per bag for the entirety of the journey. Flights with final destinations of Brazil/Argentina have a baggage allowances of 23 kg per bag for passengers traveling economy, and 32 kg per bag for passengers traveling business.

Exceptions:
For flights from Egypt to Turkey and from Turkey to Egypt, the free baggage allowances is 50 Kg for both Economy class travellers and Business class travellers.
Free baggage allowance from Germany to Turkey and Beyond Turkey for Economy Class is 30 kg and for Business Class 40 kg.
For flights from Ireland the free baggage allowance is 30 kg. for the economy class and 40 kg. for the Business Class travelers
For flights originating in Ireland (first flight of the journey is from Ireland), free baggage allowance is 30kg for economy class and 40kg for business class. For flights not originating in Ireland, free baggage allowance can differ. Please contact your local sales office for more details.
For flights from Edinburgh (first flight of the journey is from Edinburg) to Asia, Middle East and Africa, the free baggage allowance is 40 kg for the Economy Class travelers and 50 kg for the Business Class travelers.
Turkish Airlines carries first set of golf and skiing equipments free of charge. In addition, one diving equipment/set per person will be allowed without additional fees for departures from and arrivals to Male, Akabe, Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh, until 31.12.2016.For other (more than 1) set of golf and skiing equipment sports equipments charges will apply.
