Depending on the class of travel passengers can bring on board:
- LOT Business Class – 2 pieces each up to 9 kg
- LOT Premium Economy (intercontinental flights) – 2 pieces, both up to 12 kg (1 piece max. 8 kg)
- LOT Premium Economy (international flights) – 1 piece up to 8 kg
- LOT Economy Class – 1 piece up to 8 kg
- LOT Economy Simple – 1 piece up to 8 kg

Note: In case of exceeding the allowed limit of hand baggage an excess baggage charge will be applied.
In addition to the above cabin baggage allowance, the following items may be carried free of charge:
- ladies handbag or shoulder-strapped bag or laptop bag (max. 2kg, 40 cm x 35 cm x 12 cm)
- food and collapsible baby stroller or push chair for a child
The handicapped passengers are allowed to carry additionally on board the following necessary items:
- wheelchair (wheelchair will be loaded into the hold before boarding and will be given back to the passenger after landing)
- crutches or other medical devices for personal use

*International flights – When buying a ticket in LOT Economy Simple, you can buy the first piece of checked baggage at a reduced price (lot.com, LOT Contact Center: 60 PLN/20 USD/20 CAD/15 EUR each way, LOT Commercial Office: 120 PLN/40 USD/40 CAD/30 EUR each way).
**Domestic flights – When buying a ticket in LOT Economy Simple, you can buy the first piece of checked baggage at a reduced price (54 PLN/15 USD/19 CAD/13 EUR each way, LOT Commercial Office: 100 PLN/30 USD/30 CAD/25 EUR each way).
RULES FOR TRANSPORT OF SPORTING EQUIPMENT
Sporting equipment may be carried free of charge if within your Free Baggage Allowance – contracted in your ticket. The limitations must be met in regard to the weight per piece and the number of pieces, though, the size of the sporting equipment may exceed the limit. If the sporting equipment exceeds free allowed limits, the charge from the table applies.
- If your sports items are not listed in the table, the regular excess baggage rates apply.
- Due to various types of aircrafts there is a limited space for sports equipment in the baggage hold therefore some items may not be accepted. That is why we ask you to declare your equipment by calling LOT Call Center in advance (not later than 24 hours before the departure), stating the kind of equipment, its weight and dimensions.
- The maximum weight of sporting equipment must not exceed 45 kg. The heavier item should be sent as cargo, in such case please contact LOT Cargo.
- We would like to remind you that if you continue your journey with another carrier, please get familiar with baggage rules of such a carrier, to avoid denial of your baggage.
- Miles and More Program members, holding cards: HON, SEN and Star Alliance Gold, are entitled to check-in also one golf and ski equipment free of charge on LOT flights ( with exception of the USA and Canada routes).
- The security guard’s gun is free.
